I remember the wildfires in Galicia. It was shocking and upsetting as well. Upsetting, because when we volunteered to help, town people said that we are not allowed. We were like WTF??? Here if it’s a catastrophy (wildfire, flood or so) many volunteers go and help re-build/fight against from all over the country.

It turned out that we asked it in the wrong neighbourhood. Some cities just expected firefighters and military to take care about the fires. Instead of going out, they (locals) were sitting, watching the fires and complaining about politics. The funniest part was when they started to march and demonstrate for more firefighters instead of go there and start digging, cooking meals for ffighters or help somehow else. 

It turned out that in some cities locals were fighting too and expected help. Just the organizing, managing volunteers part was typically spanish. I was in the wrong city :/ Anyway, never ask girls that “where can I sign”, because instead of logic they use emotions and start screaming that “it’s dangerous, don’t goo”… etc..
